Today we’ll talk about fats or lipids, although they often have adverse effects on health when consumed as they can generate with uncontrolled high cholesterol, but are also beneficial for the proper functioning of the body because they are one of the sources main energy for the human body. According to expert nutritionists, we include in our daily diet to 30% fat or less. It is noteworthy that these organic compounds provide an average of 9 calories per gram

It is important to know that there are different kinds of fat. One of them are saturated fats, which can be found in a number of foods derived from animals such as certain meats, lard, tallow, sausages, cocoa butters, dairy products, among others. It is worth mentioning that although it is occasionally necessary to consume these fats, we must be careful not to overdo it because they are loaded with triglycerides.

We should also mention that unsaturated fats are healthier than those listed above. One of the foods we can find these fats are fish and olive oil and some vegetables. You should know that these fats are beneficial in preventing vascular diseases because they are low in cholesterol and triglycerides.

Undoubtedly, one of the healthier fats are the Omega 3 fatty acid that is essential for the proper functioning of the body. The Omega 3 that is commonly found in seafood can also be ingested in vitamin supplements.

What to do when the chips, chocolate and other tantalizing foods continue calling.

My cravings are out of control. I exercise at least five days a week for 40 minutes and lift weights three days a week. But I still have excess body fat and I suspect this is because after eating really well for a few days, I come some uncontrollable cravings and begin to eat and eat until I’m full. This happens to me every two days. How can I stop it?

It hard to say exactly what else may be contributing to your cravings or the resistance to lose fat without knowing specific details, the intensity of your workouts, how long they have been carrying this routine, lost weight recently, how close of body weight are “normal” and a body-fat percentage healthy, and how much you eat in the days of bingeing and on normal days. But surely think your tendency to overeat several days a week may be negating the amount of calories that you remove with your workouts, making you difficult to lose weight.

Cravings can be complicated
Take any diet book and you’ll find several theories about what causes cravings. Some say that eating too much sugar or too many foods that have a high glycemic index, or foods that do not contain enough fiber or fat can make you feel hungry right after eating. Some say that the fact of not eating enough protein or going too long without eating something light, can trigger cravings. Some suggest that hunger may actually indicate emotional hunger, so any practical advice about food or exercise is not going to get to the bottom of the problem. These proposals may be important causes, but in reality, things are not so simple.

For example, although it has been found that large amounts of protein and fiber in the diet may your heart’s more, if you’re eating little or eliminating many more calories than you consume, there are great chances that you are hungry anyway, simply, your body need more fuel, causing cravings. If your perception of “good” days, when you eat well, “refers to those days when you’re actually consuming fewer calories, in the end your body will demand more calories to try to balance your energy with your energy expenditure during the week . If you’re bored or lonely, you’re probably not physically hungry, but an excessive preoccupation with food can be a psychological trigger to encourage you or give you comfort.

If you are not eating enough in comparison with the elimination of calories occurred during daily exercise, is likely to feel hungry and go looking for more food. If you stay long periods without food, skipping breakfast and avoiding dinner after 6 or 7 pm, for example, could be creating a roller coaster of energy supply in a few days cause your body to accumulate estimulándote try to eat more to prepare for periods when you’re not eating enough. Often, high-calorie foods are most attractive when your body requires fuel urgently.

Cravings may also have a biological component. If you’ve lost weight recently, biochemical triggers can prompt the body to recover the lost fat. Recent research suggests that genetic influences can affect such things as how quickly you’re hungry after eating, how full you feel after you eat and how active you are when you’re not exercising.

Just as there are many potential reasons why you feel cravings, there are a variety of solutions that can help stop it.
