
Men and women are not equal in weight gain. In the women, fat cells tend to accumulate in the region of the buttocks, thighs (the famous “saddlebags”). Note that for hormonal reasons, women after menopause, may accumulate fat in the abdominal region, if they gain weight.
Men, however, benefits are subject to the accumulation of abdominal fat, particularly around the age of 30-40 years. It is therefore important that they be alert to the location of the fat that can be dangerous to health if belly gets too big.
