However, in early twenty-first century our planet faces a serious water crisis. The tiny proportion of freshwater on earth is unevenly distributed and badly managed little more protected. In many countries of the South, fresh water shortage.

This exhibition of 23 photographs, shows research in the world. Scientists from all disciplines are mobilized to understand the causes and effects of the scarcity of fresh water for better protection and a fairer sharing of this precious resource.

This exhibition aims, with photographs of IRD researchers, to raise public awareness of the issues posed by water resources in the South. It is structured around several major themes of sustainable development (climate, health, the Geo-political, water daily, hydrology).
